Food 4.5/5.0 Service 4.0*/5.0 Value 3.5/5.0 Decor 4.0/5.0 Overall 4.0/5.0 Very high quality KBBQ spot. These are premium prices, but the quality was commensurate. Service was also pretty good, though that little asterisk above is there because I felt unnecessarily, politely but passively and repeatedly, rushed to leave despite a fairly high pp, not exactly having been camping, and clearly there being not being a party downstairs waiting for the table. Hopefully just a one-off incident to an otherwise good meal.

I've been to plenty of Korean bbq places in my lifetime and it takes something really good to knock the socks out of me. This place delivers! Their potatoe pancake and their take on pajun was so unique and really enjoyed it. We got the prime beef package plus added marinated Galbi and waygu short rib. It was so good! But my wife just loved this jigae. The daen jong and kimchi jigae was prob the best I've ever had, from their daen jong they used, the tenderest pork meat and overall soups blew us away. Our waitress was spot on, she cooked all of our meats and very polite. The decor is I would say minimalist and also very easy to talk to other folks at the table. We had a group of 8. I can see why this made it in NY Times top 100 restaurants in 2024! They take reservations through Resy and I emailed them to secure reservations and they were very prompt. It was a good first impression from the start.

One of the best Korean meals I have had in a really long time. The service was superb as the servers were very attentive and their timing was spot on. They grilled our meats perfectly. The galbi and wagyu were so tender and seasoned perfectly. A must try are the Pusan style pajeon and potato pajeon. OMG! The denjang chigae was probably the best I have ever had! The seasonings and quality of the meat in the stew was phenomenal! The same for the kimchi chigae. I am sad to say better than my mom's cooking. As a family we never went out to eat because my mom's cooking was way better than any Korean restaurant we could go to. This is one restaurant I will make an effort to come back to every time we visit NYC.

I've been here for dinner before, but when I visited most recently, I found out they have great lunch specials. I got the Marinated Short Rib Set Menu. You can choose a stew that comes with it. I ordered the Soybean Stew option. Since "Galbi" is in the restaurant's name, you can't go wrong with the Short Rib option. The set menu comes on a tray with your entree, a bowl of rice, your choice of stew, and a few side dishes. It was a satisfying lunch with a good portion of food. It's less busy during lunch, and the prices are more reasonable than when you come for dinner. Highly recommend taking advantage of the lunch special.

My recent visit to Yoon Haeundae Galbi for Korean BBQ left me thoroughly impressed. The quality of the meat was exceptional, offering a wide variety of cuts that satisfied every palate. I particularly appreciated the packages that came with multiple selections of meats and sides, providing great value for money. While the service was efficient, a touch more friendliness would have elevated the experience further. Nonetheless, the overall ambiance was pleasant, contributing to an enjoyable dining experience. In summary, Yoon Haeundae Galbi delivers on taste and variety, making it a must-visit spot for Korean BBQ enthusiasts.

So much fun! Having full service for bbq is something I have never heard of! It was certainly an experience. The food quality was very high. It can to the table with great presentation. The best was the ny strip and the short rib. The way they cook the bulgogi is very different than I have ever seen - almost like a hot pot. A bit spicy, they do put peppers in. I do not suggest the scallion pancake. It needs salt and is just wasting space for all the yummy stuff to come! A must try if you like Korean bbq, so much fun! Make sure you have a reservation, we were able to make one but it was early in the day!

Prepare for meat sweats. We had the prime plus a whole order of brisket with unlimited bachan to our hearts desires. The kimchi was particularly delicious with the marinated beef belly and kalbi. Quality meat, outstanding memorable flavors, and great service. We shared two orders of japchae, fried chicken, tofu soup, and kimchee fried rice. Everything was super delicious in addition to the Makku frothy drink, since they didn't have flavored sojus. I recommend this place 1000%

Very efficient and competent staff. They get business done, perfect atmosphere. Nice dining area. Casual, modern, and clean dining area. We ordered the Korean Fried Chicken(21) with galbi flavor and multi grain rice. It was delicious. I could order this again. I have not had better. We also ordered the short rib Gomtang stew(22) with multi grain rice. It was mild, refreshing, and light. I would not order this again. But it was good, just not my style. It's probably a great choice if I bring back friends that don't like spice, but enjoy nice subtle flavors. The waitress stated that because it's the weekend, they are doing the dinner menu. I did not look at the lunch prices. We were happy that the dinner menu had many nice looking options. The precalculated tip was post-tax starting at 18% during Sunday lunch. They gave fantastic service. The staff acted the way I see staff acting in movies, I was impressed. I'll definitely come back and order the Korean fried chicken with galbi again!

I had an amazing experience at Yoon Haeundae Galbi. The service was impeccable, the host and waitress were very attentive and friendly. The decor and ambiance were elegant and cozy, perfect for a romantic date night or a special occasion. The food was incredible! Be aware that some dishes are spicier than average, but if you can handle it, you're in for a treat. I recommend the Busan Neighborhood pancake, which has a chewy texture and a delicious sauce. The Beef Ji Ji Mi was like a beef tempura, crispy and tender. The Korean Fried Chicken was also amazing, very crunchy and juicy. We ordered the Prime package, which was enough food for three people. The meats were cooked right at our table by the staff, who cut and portioned them for us. The shortrib was the star of the package, it was so tender and flavorful, we ordered it without any marinade to taste the natural quality of the meat. The meat came with small side dishes (Banchan) that complemented the meal very well. I especially liked the green salad, the kimchi, the fish cake, and the pickled green peppers with onions. The Wagyu Kimchi Fried Rice was also very tasty, although I would have preferred a little less cheese on it. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience, and I will surely come back again. While it's not the cheapest meal, the high-quality food and unique flavors are worth the splurge. If you are looking for Korean cuisine with a modern twist, you won't regret it!
